At Thomas Terrace Baptist Church we believe that corporate worship is vitally important for a spiritually healthy church and for spiritually healthy believers. Since God is the only one worthy of praise we give Him our worship (“worth-ship”) through singing, giving, serving, sharing and preaching. We believe that music plays an important role in both glorifying God and edifying the believer. It is for this reason we seek to have a music ministry at Thomas Terrace that accomplishes both of these goals. Our music style is blended including both worship songs and the great hymns of our faith. Whatever we are singing it is our hope that it points people to Jesus.
We have several ways someone can serve in our Worship Ministry:
Praise Team/Band
Our Praise Team and Band includes talented singers and musicians who help lead the congregation each week during our morning worship service and other special programs.
Adult Celebration Choir
The Adult Choir at TTBC has been a fixture of the church since its very beginning. This choir performs during weekly services and special seasonal programs during Christmas and Easter. This choir is under the direction of Judy Baker and is open to anyone of High School age and above regardless of musical ability. Rehearsal is on Mondays from 6:45-8:15 in the choir loft in the Worship Center.
Sound Team
The sound team helps run sound for weekly services, rehearsals, and other special programs throughout the year. Experience and ability are desired but training can be provided to anyone willing to serve.
Video Team
Our video team manages the projection of presentation slides and videos as well as lighting during worship services, dramas, and seasonal productions. Those who are creative or have technical abilities are encouraged to join this team.
